Our activities for wellbeing

At Oasis Community Group, we offer a range of gentle activities tailored to create a comfortable and supportive environment. Our sessions are designed to foster connection, reduce isolation, and promote wellbeing for individuals living with depression, mental health challenges, dementia, and the effects of stroke.

No-pressure social space

Enjoy a warm cup of tea or coffee with biscuits and engage in friendly conversation. Our space is designed for you to relax and simply enjoy being in the company of others, with no obligation to participate in structured tasks.

Gentle wellbeing activities

For those who wish to engage further, we offer light, optional activities such as casual storytelling, listening to familiar music, or gentle brain games, all designed to be stimulating without stress.

Support for carers

Family members, friends, and carers are always welcome. It's an opportunity to relax, connect with other carers, and see your loved ones enjoy themselves in a safe and understanding environment.

A welcoming community for your wellbeing

Oasis Community Group is a local, volunteer-led project in Pinhoe, Devon. We provide a calm, informal place to meet others, take part in light activities, and feel part of a supportive community.

Designed for comfort and connection

Our activities are uniquely helpful because they are designed to eliminate the fear of failure or judgment. We understand that ordinary social situations can be overwhelming for those dealing with dementia, depression, or stroke recovery.

Our unique approach

Our "zero-pressure" absolute rule means there's no mandatory participation or performance expectations. We focus on retained strengths through activities like casual storytelling or light brain games, countering frustration and building confidence. Our volunteers are trained to offer dignified, patient support, ensuring everyone feels comfortable and valued.
